This is a Trillium plant. In some places it is actually illegal to pick the plant. If you do pick the flower the plant will take around 3 years to recover, and maybe even longer depending on how many of the leaves you pick. If you pick the whole stalk you may even kill the plant. So, DON'T PICK THE TRILLIUM, take pictures instead!
