I'm Sad
Today my sister left for the Boundary Waters. When she left I was so sad that I walked around with my head down, my arms dangling, and feeling just miserable. The reason I was feeling so sad is because she always makes me feel good. Just being around her makes me feel happier, especially when bad things happen. She just goes with the flow and calms me. She helps me feel better by giving me good reasons to feel better! I love my sister and can't wait until she's back!

I Saw Grandma Kissing Lego Man
Last fall, we went to Chicago for Lego Fest and saw this weird Lego dude. My grandma sat on the bench next to him and kissed him. The reason we went to Lego Fest was because I love Legos so much that I build anything I can think of out of Legos. I saw a Lego triceratops, Harry Potter, Ron, Hermione, and Hegrid built out of Legos. We also got to meet this Lego dude who has designed all of the Lego Architecture sets. When we met him he was building the Taj Mahal out of Legos. It was so much fun, now I think I will go and build something.
P.S. There was candy at Lego Fest;)
P.S. (again) Grandma, I hope I didn't embarrass you!!!!!

Gardening
Whenever my Mom gardens I like to help. My mom usually lets me help, but not always. When I do get to help, I have so much fun I that wish I could do it forever! My favorite part of gardening is that we can grown some of our food so we don't have to buy as much. I like tasting the tomatoes, berries, and herbs, fresh out of the garden. I like weeding because the weeds are bad for the planet and for the plants. The weeds are bad for the plants because the weeds crowd out the plants and steal the nutrients so they can't grow. Get out and Garden! Once you do it for a while I bet you will really like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A Swallow's Nest
One day while walking under a bridge I saw a swallow's nest. The bad thing about the nest was that 2 of its rooms had fallen off. There was a pile of old nest making supplies on the concrete below the nest, which had crumbled apart and turned into dirt. One of the swallows came swooping out of the nest at me. It was really exciting. The End Hahaha
The Moon
One night I was on Rock Island with my 2 sisters, my mom, and my dad. We had stayed up late to see the sunset and it was super beautiful. After the sunset we saw the moon, it was just a little over half full. This is a picture of it. The reason we have a moon is because of the earth's gravitational pull. It pulled in little bits and pieces of astroids and microscopic particles. After it pulled everything together, it resulted in what we see today.
You Wouldn't Want to Fall Down on This
One day while hiking by Devil's Lake we where on the Pothole Trail. It was super rocky. I bet the cliff was at least 20 feet high, so you wouldn't want to fall down. If you did you would probably crack your head open and die. That is unless you had a rocket booster and a parachute with you... The End Hahaha

Ginger Uses a Ruler
Yesterday, I was measuring a bunch of stuff. I measured so much that my cat wanted to measure too. I left the ruler on the floor and he measured his paw, one of the kitchen tiles, and he pushed the ruler over to the refrigerator and measured the foot of the refrigerator. It was really funny. The End! Hahaha!

My Dad's 39th Birthday
My Dad turned 39 on May 4th 2011. My sister made this cake. I think that it is the most extraordinary cake I have ever see in my life. I gave my Dad $10 to buy a bird feeder and bird seed. I helped him pick out the feeder and the seed. Since we put up the feeder it has attracted a ton of beautiful birds. They have gobbled down the food and emptied the feeder 1 1/2 times already. I hope they keep coming to our feeder forever!
My Precious Kitties
These are my cats. The grey one is Snickers and Ginger is the white and orange one. Ginger is nice when he wants to be but sometimes he gets out of hand. Snickers is calm most of the time. One day I spotted my two cats Snickers and Ginger laying together on my sisters bed. I have never seen them lay so nicely together, they usually wrestle to their death. Actually, they don't really die, I was just joking about that! They usually wrestle until they are so tired they drop down on the floor and take a nap. I've sent them do it and it is super funny. I love my cats!
Apricot Sea Turtle
I built this sea turtle out of some seed pods, an apricot pit, and green wooden thing that fell from our tree. My Mom saw it and said it was really cool, my sister guarded it so it did't blow away while I got the camera to snap some pictures. This is the best picture that I took of it. Isn't it cool? :)
Huge Moth
I didn't see this moth, but my Mom and Dad did. My Dad snapped this picture of it. The moth was as big as my mom's hand. I think it was really awesome!
Science in the Park
Last Friday, we went to a park and I was surprised by how many cool things we found. We saw a frog make a splash, salamander tadpoles, a Great Blue Herring, and I caught a turtle. I loved the turtle and wanted to take her home, but my mom said no. The turtle had a tumor on her neck and I think she was really sick because she kept hissing at me. Animals usually like me so I really think her tumor was making her unhappy. It's really sad that people don't take care of her home, I bet all the garbage and pollution in the pond caused her tumor to grow.

There's no place like earth, help protect our planet.
butterflies, caterpillars, and a snake
Here is some cool stuff we saw while hiking at Devil's Lake.
I really wanted to touch the snake, but Dad was scared it would bite me. Mom tried to pick it up, but it got away. I really wish I knew what kind it was, but even after trying to look it up we still don't know. The caterpillars where really cool too, I helped to free one of them as its butt was stuck like glue to the web and it was thrashing about. It felt good to free it, I just hope it's not an invasive species. The End hahaha!
